Being on the south coast means a higher chance of good weather, however: if you're not lounging by the pool at the Playaflor you can find a small, pebbly nude beach at nearby Los Cristianos (now unofficial - signs say no nude sunbathing but plenty of people ignore them) with cruising on the cliff ledges, and the larger, sandy nudist beach at El Medano some 15kms from Playa de las Americas (access by car or a 'slow' bus trip is also possible).Ĭheck hotel prices, availability and book hotel with instant confirmation:īed & Breakfast, Half Board. We've included the Playaflor in Playa de las Americas a resort that hasn't been particularly noted for its gay nightlife - there are currently a couple of gay bars with rumours of more opening soon. The main gay nudist beach is about a 40 minute walk from Puerto de la Cruz (another reason most people opt for car hire!) and access to the beach may be unsuitable for people with walking difficulties. Puerto de la Cruz has 8 gay bars, and plenty of good restaurants. Prices shown on these page are for Gatwick flights to Tenerife South airport which is approx 100kms away - resort transfers are not included in the prices shown: private transfers or taxis cost approx £75 fare each way and we find most clients opt to spend this money on car rental instead: a car for a week, collect & return to the airport, starts at about £100.īuses are also available, and the fare is a very reasonable 8 Euros per person each way - during the summer months there are no direct flights from any UK airport to Tenerife North airport. Puerto de la Cruz is a historic town and still has a good deal of charm and, as there is far more to see and do in the north of the island than the south, leaves you well positioned for exploring the rest of the island. Main Tenerife gay resort is Puerto de la Cruz, which is on Tenerife's lush northern coast.
